Adult Sunday School Electives Contact: Larry Merkle Children’s Sunday School Contact: Melissa Moody Nursery Contact: Church Office We have a staffed nursery during our Sunday morning activities. Our nursery is for children ages zero through two years. Primary Grades Contact: Melissa Moody Youth Contact: Melissa Moody CYF Christian Education is for all high school students. It is here that youth will have the opportunity to ask questions and explore the Bible. They will discuss current events and how as Christians we should respond. They meet in the CYF room for Christian Education classes. Our Chi Rho middle school youth will explore scripture in order to gain a greater under-standing of themselves and our world and how the two relate to one another. Youth will find a loving, nurturing atmosphere here where they will be able express themselves and grow closer to God. They meet in the Chi Rho room each Sunday morning. |

Chi Rho Contact: Larry Merkle and Melissa Moody Chi Rho is a fellowship group for middle school-aged youth that gives them the opportunity to be accepted and loved within a Christian community and to progress at their own pace on their spiritual journeys. Regular activities include intentional informal conversation, casual worship, game-playing. Special activities include group outings (sometimes together with other groups from within Central), nursing home visitation, and participation in Central’s Christmas program and Youth Sunday. Youth are welcome and encouraged to bring friends from within or outside the congregation. All youth that participate actively in Chi Rho and those that complete the Pastor’s Class are invited to participate in an extended weekend for the Disciples Heritage Trip. This year’s trip will be to Indianapolis, IN where we will visit the “head office” of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in the Unites States and Canada as well as other attractions. Depending on the number of youth participating, parents will be needed as drivers and chaperones. The regular meeting time is Sunday evenings 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM at the church. The calendar of activities for the year reflects planning as of 9/23/12. At this time, dates for the Christmas Party and the Disciples Heritage Trip are tentative, while the other dates are firm. We will make every effort to provide you with specific times, locations, costs, and other details for the Disciples Heritage trip as soon as possible, and for other special activities at least two weeks in advance. Please do not hesitate to contact us at any time. Christian Youth Fellowship (CYF) Contact: Lisa French and Doug Pence Christian Youth Fellowship (CYF) gives high school students a Christian environment where they are accepted, loved and nurtured.
